BURSA
Bursa, the 5th biggest city of Turkey, is located on the north-west skirts
of the Mount Uludağ and the south-east of the Marmara Sea.

Sports and Recreation
UIudağ is the largest winter sports center in Turkey and offers a variety
of activities, accommodation and entertainment. Thirty-six kilometers
from Bursa, the slopes are easily reached by car or cable car (teleferik).
December to May are the best months for skiing, although the area,
which is a national park, is well worth a visit at any time of the year for
the lovely views and wonderful fresh air. Uludağ National Park can be
reached both by highway and cable car. The Ski Resort is 40 minutes
away from Bursa by road and 60 minutes from the Bursa Yenişehir
Airport. By private vehicle, the Çekirge road is the easiest. Drivers must
keep wheel chains, wedges and heavy ropes during winter, which are
also available for hire or sale along the roadside. There are also
minibuses going to the top of Uludağ which leave every hour during the
winter, and takes around 90 minutes from Bursa. (Costs approx. 15 TL)
