EW Medien und Kongresse GmbH is Germany´s leading information specialist for the energy and water industry. With
up to 450 events annually, ranging from small seminars to conferences with 1,300 participants, EW-Medien supplies the
energy industry with the most up-to-date knowledge. Our portfolio also includes well-established professional journals as
well as a large selection of specialized books.
Due to our close relations with the German Federal Association for Energy and Water (BDEW – Bundesverband der
Energie- und Wasserwirtschaft), we can react very quickly to new political and legal developments regarding the industry.
Our conferences are used by the association as a medium of communication. Our team is always up-to-date, discovering
the latest developments and trends in the energy industry and eager to pass on this new knowledge throughout the
energy industry through our conferences and seminars.
Your role and opportunity
Your profile:
The internship will be in our Event Management
Department (Frankfurt or Berlin) for a period of at least
three months, ideally from September 2012.

Our goal is to further strengthen and expand our position
internationally. To ensure this, we will be creating new
events which will not only include new topics and be
presented in new formats, but will also aim at new target
audiences. You will actively participate in these new
developments. You will also complete a full project for
these new sectors during your internship. Mainly you
will help in creating a usable market analysis of your
home country and so contribute to our strategic business
expansion.
We offer you the chance to play an active role in one of our
events and to gain a deep insight into the event industry.
Very good MS Office skills
Good German language skills
Team spirit, flexibility, high motivation
Good communication skills
Good level of numeracy
Experience in research
Experience in the energy sector preferred
Fields of study: business studies, public relations,
event planning, event marketing
