Ce manuel vous propose de nombreux conseils pour utiliser et entretenir correctement votre
climatiseur. Vous trouverez les réponses aux problèmes les plus fréquents dans le chapitre
‘Résoudre les pannes’. En cas de problème, consultez d’abord le chapitre G “ Résoudre les
pannes ”. Il vous évitera d’appeler inutilement le service de réparation.

CONSIGNES DE SECURITE
L’installation doit répondre entièrement aux réglementations, ordonnances et normes en vigueur localement. L’appareil est conçu exclusivement pour une utilisation dans un lieu sec, à l’intérieur de la maison.

Vérifiez la tension du réseau. Cet appareil est conçu uniquement pour une prise de courant avec mise à la
terre, avec une tension de raccordement de 230 V. / 50 Hz.
IMPORTANT
• L’appareil DOIT être branché sur une prise reliée à la terre. Si la prise électrique n’est pas reliée à
la terre, ne branchez pas l’appareil. La prise doit toujours rester facile d’accès une fois que
l’appareil est branché. Lisez et respectez soigneusement ces instructions.
• Le climatiseur contient un réfrigérant et peut être classé comme équipement pressurisé. C’est
pourquoi l’installation et la maintenance doivent toujours être effectués par un spécialiste
agréé. Nous vous recommandons de faire réviser votre climatiseur chaque année par un
technicien agréé.
Avant de brancher l’appareil, vérifiez si:
•
la tension de raccordement est bien la même que celle indiquée sur la plaque signalétique de l’appareil,
•
la prise et l’approvisionnement en courant sont bien adaptés à l’appareil,
•
la fiche électrique rentre bien dans la prise de contact,
•
l’appareil est bien posé sur une surface plane et stable.
Si vous avez des doutes sur la compatibilité de l’appareil, faites vérifier l’installation électrique par un professionnel.
•
Cet appareil est fabriqué selon les normes de sécurité CE. Soyez cependant prudent lors de son utilisation, comme avec tout autre appareil électrique.
•
Ne couvrez jamais la grille d’entrée et de sortie d’air.
•
Ne mettez jamais l’appareil en contact avec des produits chimiques.
•
Ne vaporisez jamais d’eau sur l’appareil. Ne le trempez jamais dans l’eau.
•
N’enfilez pas les doigts ou un objet dans les ouvertures de l’appareil.
•
Ne branchez jamais l’appareil sur une rallonge électrique. Si vous ne disposez pas de prise de courant
avec mise à la terre, faites assurer l’installation par un électricien agréé.
•
Comme avec tous les appareils électriques, soyez prudent et attentif lorsque des enfants se trouvent
près de l’appareil.
•
Toute réparation et/ou maintenance doit être exclusivement effectuée par un technicien agréé ou votre
distributeur Zibro. Pour l’utilisation et l’entretien de l’appareil, prière de suivre les instructions indiquées dans le manuel.
•
Débranchez toujours l’appareil lorsque vous ne l’utilisez pas.
•
Si le cordon électrique de l’appareil est endommagé, faites-le changer par un électricien ou par votre
distributeur agréé.
•
Pour allumer ou éteindre l’appareil, utilisez le bouton marche/arrêt sur le climatiseur ou sur la télécommande. Ne tirez pas sur la prise électrique pour l’éteindre.
•
N’ouvrez pas le climatiseur lorsqu’il est en marche. Débranchez toujours l’appareil avant de l’ouvrir.
•
Débranchez toujours l’appareil avant toute activité d’entretien ou de nettoyage.
•
Ne placez jamais de brûleur à gaz, fours, cuisinières sur la trajectoire du flux d’air.

•
Si vous avez les mains mouillées, n’appuyez pas sur les boutons de l’appareil et ne le manipulez pas.
•
Notez que l’unité extérieure émet un bruit de fonctionnement. L’utilisateur a la responsabilité de vérifier si l’appareil est en parfaite conformité avec la législation locale.

Redémarrage automatique
Lorsque qu’une coupure de courant survient, l’appareil mémorise automatiquement le mode de fonctionnement au moment de l’interruption. L’appareil redémarre automatiquement avec le même mode de fonc-

tionnement 3 à 4 minutes après le rétablissement du courant (l’intervalle de 3 à 4 minutes permet de protéger le compresseur).

ATTENTION !
• Avec la fonction redémarrage automatique, l’appareil se remet en route une fois le courant
rétabli et dès que vous le rebranchez (même si une remise en route n’est pas souhaitée).
• Lorsque vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil pendant une longue période, éteignez-le d’abord avec la
télécommande puis débranchez-le.

AVANT LA MISE EN SERVICE
1. Mise en oeuvre de la télécommande
Mise en place / remplacement des piles
Utiliser deux piles alcalines sèches (AAA /LR03).
Ne pas utiliser de piles rechargeables.

Enlever le couvercle du compartiment des piles au dos de la télécommande
en le faisant coulisser dans le sens de la flèche sur le couvercle.
2.

Insérer deux nouvelles piles en veillant à bien orienter le (+) et le (-) de la
pile.
3.
Remettre le couvercle en place par coulissement.
N.B.
• En remettant les piles en place, ne pas utiliser de vieilles piles ni des piles de type différent. Cela
pourrait perturber le fonctionnement de la télécommande.
• Si la télécommande n’est pas utilisée pendant plusieurs semaines, enlever les piles. Autrement,
si les piles fuient, la télécommande risque d’être endommagée.
• Dans des conditions normales, une pile fonctionne en moyenne pendant 6 mois.
• Remplacer les piles si l’unité intérieure ne produit pas de signal sonore ou si le signal lumineux
de transmission n’apparaît pas.
• Ne pas mélanger les piles neuves et anciennes. Ne pas utiliser simultanément des piles de types
différents (par exemple alcaline et au lithium).
Stockage de la télécommande et conseils pratiques d’utilisation
La télécommande peut être placée dans le support mural. Le support mural est fourni avec l’appareil.
Utilisation de la télécommande
Diriger la télécommande vers le récepteur sur l’unité intérieure du climatiseur. Il est possible d’actionner le
climatiseur de cette manière jusqu’à une distance de 7 mètres environ.
2. Mise en place des filtres
Ce climatiseur est équipé d’un système de filtres à 3 épaisseurs qui permet de purifier l’air.
• Filtre grille : retient les grosses particules de poussière.

• Filtre à enzymes : neutralise les micro-organismes présents dans l’air.
• Filtre à charbon actif : détruit les mauvaises odeurs.

REMARQUE
• N’utiliser en aucun cas le climatiseur sans le filtre à air.
• Utiliser uniquement des filtres Zibro adéquats. Cela évite d’endommager le climatiseur.
• Les filtres adéquats sont disponibles chez votre revendeur.

Comment fixer les filtres d’épuration d’air
a. Ouvrez le panneau frontal en le soulevant.
b. Placez le système de filtres dans le compartiment avec la mention « FRONT » vers
l’avant. Veillez à ce que les filtres soient bien fixés sur le support. Une mauvaise

installation des filtres peut endommager l’appareil.
c. Refermez le panneau frontal.

Réglage de l’heure actuelle

Appuyer une fois sur le bouton “TIME ADJ”

Régler l’heure avec les boutons “+”, “-“. Si le bouton est maintenu enfoncé,
l’heure réglée change par 10 minutes à la fois.

Appuyer 3 fois sur le bouton “TIME ADJ” L’heure actuelle apparaît sur l’affichage. Le réglage est terminé.
N.B.
Même si l’heure actuelle n’est pas programmée, toutes les fonctions
sont utilisables, sauf la fonction Minuteur.

space of the room. Using the operation “Circulation” will equalize the differences
between the upper and lower spaces of the room and improves the efficiency of
your heating equipment.

ventilation change automatiquement.

AVERTISSEMENT !
• Ne placez aucune source de chauffage sous l’unité intérieure du climatiseur ou sous la
télécommande.
• N’orientez pas le flux d’air directement en direction de sources de chauffage.
• Veillez à une ventilation suffisante de la pièce.
Climatiser/chauffer/déshumidifier
1.
Appuyez sur le bouton MARCHE/ARRÊT.
2.
Sélectionnez le mode de fonctionnement en appuyant sur le bouton correspondant: Climatiser

REMARQUE !
• Lorsque l’appareil climatise ou déshumidifie pendant longtemps dans une pièce avec un haut taux
d’humidité (portes et fenêtres ouvertes) des gouttes de condensation peuvent se former sur l’unité
intérieure. L’écoulement de cette condensation peut endommager la moquette ou le parquet.
• Lorsque l’appareil est en mode “Déshumidifier” avec une basse température, le flux d’air est froid.
• En mode “Déshumidifier”, l’appareil refroidit jusqu’à ce que la température ambiante soit à 1 à 2
°C au-dessus de la température réglée, puis passe par intermittences en mode LO (vitesse de
ventilation réduite) quelle que soit la vitesse de ventilation réglée.
• En mode “Déshumidifier”, l’unité intérieure s’éteint pendant 3 minutes lorsque la température
réglée est atteinte.
• En mode Chauffage, l’unité extérieure peut geler et réduire la capacité de chauffage. Dans ce cas,
l’appareil s’arrête de chauffer et passe automatiquement en mode Dégel. En mode Dégel, les
ventilateurs des unités intérieure et extérieure ne fonctionnent pas.
• Si l’échangeur de chaleur ne se réchauffe pas suffisamment, la circulation d’air stoppe pour éviter
l’entrée d’air froid.
Fonctionnement automatique
En fonctionnement automatique, le climatiseur sélectionne le mode de fonctionnement (refroidissement,
déshumidification, chauffage) en fonction de la température du local au démarrage.
•
Le climatiseur redémarrera dans le mode précédent si le fonctionnement automatique reprend dans les
3 heures suivant l’arrêt.
•
Passage en revue des modes de fonctionnement. L’ordinateur vérifie et compare la température du
local à intervalle régulier après l’arrêt du compresseur et adapte le mode de fonctionnement.
Le mode de fonctionnement sélectionné automatiquement au démarrage de l’unité sera reconsidéré une
fois que la température dans le local aura atteint la température réglée et que l’unité extérieure se sera
arrêtée 15 minutes ou plus.

Mettre le mode de fonctionnement sur “AUTO“ en appuyant sur le bouton
de réglage du mode de fonctionnement.
3.
Régler la température en appuyant sur les boutons de réglage de la température.
4.
Régler la vitesse du ventilateur en appuyant sur le bouton de vitesse du ventilateur. Si le mode est réglé sur AUTO, la vitesse du ventilateur change automatiquement.

N.B.
Si le mode de fonctionnement choisi en mode de fonctionnement automatique ne convient pas,
régler le mode de fonctionnement (refroidissement, déshumidification, chauffage) avec le bouton
de sélection du mode de fonctionnement.

Mode ions négatifs (uniquement sur S1731 et S1735)
Cette fonction peut seulement être activée lorsque le climatiseur est en marche.
1.
Appuyez sur le bouton ON/OFF.
2.
Appuyez sur le bouton ION.
Pour éteindre le mode ions négatifs, appuyez sur le bouton correspondant.

Inverser le flux d’air
En appuyant une fois sur le bouton de la lamelle, la lamelle horizontale change de position (pour la portée,
voir schéma).
Fixer l’orientation du flux d’air
En appuyant une seconde fois sur le bouton de la lamelle, la position de la lamelle horizontale se fixe et sa
position est mémorisée. Lorsque l’appareil est à nouveau mis en marche, la lamelle reprend automatiquement cette position.
Modifier la position de la lamelle verticale
Pour modifier la position de la lamelle verticale, manoeuvrez à la main les languettes de positionnement. Si
l’appareil fonctionne avec un fort taux d’humidité, et que la lamelle verticale est tournée entièrement vers
la gauche ou vers la droite, des gouttes de condensation peuvent se former sur la sortie d’air.
Fixer l’orientation du flux d’air

Uniquement sur le type SP1753 : pour fixer la position de la lamelle horizontale, appuyez une nouvelle fois
sur le bouton de la lamelle verticale.
REMARQUE !
• Lorsque vous éteignez l’appareil, la lamelle horizontale ferme automatiquement la sortie d’air.
• Ne tournez pas la lamelle horizontale à la main. Pour éviter tout endommagement,
positionnez la lamelle à l’aide de la télécommande. Si la lamelle ne fonctionne pas
correctement, éteignez l’appareil puis recommencez l’opération.
• En mode climatiser ou déshumidifier, la lamelle horizontale ne doit pas être tournée vers le bas
pendant trop longtemps.

Fonctionnement du minuteur
Avant le régler le minuteur, valider l’heure actuelle réglée. Au réglage du minuteur, la télécommande met
ce réglage en mémoire. A partir de la fois suivante, il est possible de remettre en marche le même mode de
fonctionnement minuteur en appuyant sur le bouton Marche/Arrêt et sur le bouton “ON/OFF” de fixation
du minuteur. Il est possible d’utiliser les fonctions “ON” et “OFF” du minuteur en combinaison.
Démarrage par minuteur
Exemple : régler le démarrage avec le minuteur (ON) sur 7 h du matin.
Le fonctionnement commence à cette heure-là.
Programmation de l’heure de démarrage

de démarrage (“ON”) apparaît pendant 2 secondes, après quoi l’heure actuelle apparaît.
Annulation du démarrage par minuteur
Appuyer sur le bouton de réglage du démarrage par minuteur “ON”. Le voyant lumineux du minuteur
s’éteint.

Exemple : Régler l’heure d’arrêt (OFF) sur 10 h du soir

de démarrage apparaît pendant 2 secondes, après quoi l’heure actuelle
apparaît.
Annulation de l’arrêt par minuteur
Appuyer sur le bouton de réglage de l’arrêt par minuteur “OFF”. Le voyant lumineux du minuteur s’éteint
sur l’unité intérieure.

Mise en veilleuse du minuteur
Une pression sur ce bouton fait démarrer le minuteur qui fera cesser le fonctionnement à l’heure réglée.
Appuyer sur le bouton de mise en veilleuse pendant le fonctionnement.

Le fonctionnement de secours à une température supérieure à 23 °C et inférieure à 26 °C signifie
uniquement que l’appareil est en marche en mode de refroidissement mais sans vraiment
refroidir. La déshumidification n’est alors pas possible.
Test

La commande de test est destinée à des cas spéciaux, lorsqu’il faut tester le fonctionnement du refroidissement même si la température ambiante est inférieure à 16 °C, donc elle n’est pas du tout destinée
au fonctionnement normal.

Appuyer sur le bouton de commande de secours et le bip retentit une fois ; maintenir le bouton enfoncé pendant plus de 5 secondes, mais moins de 10 secondes. Après les 5 premières secondes, deux bips
retentissent ; relâcher le bouton pour obtenir le mode de fonctionnement “Test”.

Le mode de fonctionnement Test fait que le climatiseur refroidit avec une haute vitesse d’air (H) pendant 30 minutes, avant de s’arrêter.
Arrêt du fonctionnement de secours ou du fonctionnement test
•
Il est possible de faire cesser le fonctionnement quand un bip retentit, soit en appuyant de nouveau sur
le bouton, soit avec la télécommande.

En cas d’utilisation de la télécommande, l’appareil retourne automatiquement au mode de fonctionnement normal.

Ce climatiseur est équipé d’un système de filtres à 3 épaisseurs qui permet de purifier l’air qui circule.

Le système de filtre à 3 épaisseurs est fourni dans un sachet plastique. Sortez les filtres du sachet

dans l’air.
ENTRETIEN
Nettoyage du panneau frontal

Éteignez puis débranchez l’appareil.
2.
Maintenez le panneau frontal en position “a” puis soulevez-le.
3.
Nettoyez avec un chiffon doux et sec. Pour les taches tenaces, utilisez un peu
d’eau tiède (30 °C maximum).

N’utilisez pas de produits nettoyants agressifs comme de la benzine, de l’essence, du diluant ou un produit récurant.

Remettez le panneau frontal en place et fermez-le en le baissant en position

Nettoyage du filtre
Le système de filtres doit être nettoyé régulièrement (toutes les 2 semaines en moyenne)

Soulevez la languette centrale jusqu’à ce que le filtre soit dégagé. Baissez puis retirez le filtre.

Utilisez un aspirateur pour dépoussiérer le filtre ou rincez-le à l’eau. Faites sécher le filtre à l’ombre.

Remettre le filtre en place.

Remettez le filtre en place en le fixant sur le support, la mention FRONT tournée vers l’avant. Veillez à
bien positionner le filtre, sinon le système ne fonctionnera pas de façon optimale.

Refermez le panneau frontal.

N’utilisez jamais le climatiseur sans son filtre 3 en 1.

Retirer les restes de poussière sur et autour du générateur. Brosser doucement (avec une brosse à dents douce par exemple) le haut de l’aiguille
métallique située en haut du générateur. N’utilisez pas de brosse ou de pinceau qui perdent leurs poils.
4.
Refermez doucement la lamelle horizontale. Rebranchez l’appareil, votre climatiseur est à nouveau prêt à l’emploi.

PETIT DEPANNAGE
ATTENTION!
En cas de dysfonctionnement (odeur de brûlé etc.), mettre l’appareil à l’arrêt immédiatement,
déconnecter l’alimentation et consulter le revendeur. Avant de demander un dépannage,
effectuer les contrôles suivants :

La raison est que le système transmet les odeurs de l’intérieur,
comme l’odeur de cigarettes, de cosmétiques, celle des murs ou des

rétrécissement du carénage sous l’effet des variations de

Un « zoum » peut se faire entendre pendant le fonctionnement du
système. Ce bruit est suscité par le changement de direction du
réfrigérant dans le système.

impossible de modifier la vitesse de l’air
En mode de déshydratation, la sortie d’air peut être interrompue pour
éviter un refroidissement excessif.
Pendant le chauffage, la sortie d’air est interrompue jusqu’à ce que
l’air soit suffisamment chaud pour éviter un courant d’air froid.
Pendant le dégel en mode de chauffage, la sortie d’air peut être
interrompue.

N’essayez jamais de réparer ou de démonter vous-même le climatiseur. Toute réparation mauvaise ou inappropriée peuvent générer des risques pour l’utilisateur et annulent la garantie.

Install the device only when it complies with local regulations, by-laws and standards. The unit is only sui-

BEFORE OPERATION
1. Operating the Remote Controller
Install / Replace Batteries
Use two dry alkaline batteries (AAA/LR03).
Do not use rechargeable batteries.

Remove the battery cover on the back of the Remote Control by pulling it
according to the arrow direction shown on the cover.

Insert new batteries making sure that the (+) and (-) of battery are installed
correctly.

Reattach the cover by sliding it back into position.
NOTE!
• When replacing batteries, do not use old batteries or a different type battery. This may cause
the remote controller to malfunction.
• If you do not use the remote controller for several weeks remove the batteries. Otherwise
battery leakage may damage the remote controller.
• Replace the batteries when there is no answering beep from the indoor unit or if the
Transmission Indicator light fails to appear.
• Never mix new and old batteries. Never use different battery types (e.g. alkaline and
manganese dioxide) simultaneously.
Storage of the remote control and tips for use
The remote control can be placed in the wall-mounted holder. The wall-mounted holder is delivered together with the unit.
Using the remote control
Point the remote control at the receiver on the indoor unit of the air conditioner. The air conditioner can
be operated in this manner up to a distance of approximately 7 meters.

This air conditioner is equipped with a 3 in 1 air filter (Photo-catalytic catechin filter) to clean the circulated
room air.

NOTE!
• If the unit operates in cooling or dry for a long time in high humidity (i.e., windows and doors
are opened), dew and water drops may form on the indoor unit. Be aware that falling drops of
water can damage your floor (e.g. carpet or parquet).
• If you set a low temperature for dry operation, you may feel the air flow is cold.
• During dry mode operation, the system performs the cooling operation until the room
temperature reaches 1~2°C above the setting temperature. Then it continues dry mode
operation intermittently with fan speed at “LO”, regardless of the designated speed.
• During dry operation, the indoor unit stops operating for 3 minutes when the room
temperature reaches the setting temperature.
• During the heating operation, the outdoor unit may frost and heating capacity may be
reduced. In this case, the unit stops its heating operation and conducts defrosting operation
automatically. During the defrosting operation, the fans of the indoor and outdoor units stop.
• Unless the heat exchanger gets warm enough, the air will not flow out to prevent cold air.
Automatic operation
In automatic operation the air conditioner selects the operation mode (cooling, dry, heating) according to
the room temperature when it starts.
•
The air conditioner will restart in the previous mode if automatic operation is resumed within 3 hours
from the switch-off.
•
Mode review. The computer checks and compares the room temperature regularly after the compressor shuts off, and will adapt the operating mode.

Fixing the air flow Direction
If the louver button switch is pressed again, the horizontal louver will be fixed and that position is memorized. From the next operation the louver will be set at previous position automatically.
Vertical adjustment

The vertical airflow can be adjusted by manually changing the vertical louver blades.
For S1753 only: the vertical louver will keep moving steadily right and left if the vertical louverbutton is pressed once.

Fixing the flow direction:
For S1753 only: The horizontal louver will come to a halt if the vertical louver button is pressed once again.
NOTE!
• When the operation is off, the horizontal louver closes the outlet automatically.
• Do not move the horizontal louver by hands. It may make the louver not to work correctly. In
order to move the vertical louver, use wireless remote controller without fail. In case the louver
does not work correctly, once stop the operation and turn on again.
• During in cooling or dry operation, the horizontal louver should not be downward for long
time.
Timer operation
Before setting the timer, confirm that the present time is set accurately. Once you set the timer, the remote
controller memorizes the setting. From the next time, you can operate the same timer mode just by pressing the ON/OFF button and the Timer fixing (“ON/OFF Timer”) button.
You can use the combined function of the “ON Timer” and “OFF Timer”.

Cancelling “OFF Timer”

“SLEEP Timer”
Pressing this button starts the timer mode that will stop the operation after the setting time.
Press the “SLEEP” button during the operation.
The setting time repeats the following mode by pressing the button:

the setting time.
NOTE
• When you select both “OFF Timer” operation and “Sleep Timer”
operation, the latest setting precedes the first setting.
• “Sleep Timer” operation has no need to set the present time.

The setting temperature rises 0.6°C after 30 minutes of Sleep Timer ON, and rises
0.6°C again after 30 minutes of the first temperature rise.
During Heating Operation
The setting temperature drops 0.6°C after 30 minutes of Sleep Timer ON, and
drops 0.6°C again after 30 minutes of the first temperature drop.

NOTE
Emergency operation at the temperature between above 23°C and below 26°C just switch the
machine in operation in “cooling mode” without actually “cooling”. It is not possible to operate
in “Dry” mode.
Test operation

Same switch as used in Emergency operation.
Test operation is needed in special occasion when you need to test the “cooling operation” even with
the room temperature below 16°C, therefore it is not for the normal operation at all.
•
Press the Emergency operation switch and hear the beep once, then keep on pressing the switch for
more than 5 seconds but no more than 10 seconds. After the first 5 seconds you will hear two beeps
then release the switch and you will have the Test Operation Mode.
•
The Test Operation Mode will run the air conditioner at “cooling” with air flow speed at “Hi” for 30
minutes and stops automatically.
Termination of emergency or test operation
•
You can terminate the operation when you hear a beep by either pressing the switch once more, or by
operating through remote control.
•
When you operate through remote control, is automatically get back to just normal operation mode by
remote control.

CLEANING
Cleaning the front panel
1.
Switch the machine off and remove the plug from the socket.
2.
Hold the front panel at position “a” and pull it upwards.
3.
Clean with a soft dry cloth. Use lukewarm water (max. 30° C) to remove stubborn dirt.
4.
Never use volatile substances, such as benzine, gasoline, thinner or abrasives
to remove dirt.

Never spray water on or in the indoor unit. Danger!

Replace the front panel and close it by pushing position “b” down.

Cleaning the filter
The 3 in 1 air filter must be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2 weeks)

Switch the machine off completely.

Open the front panel (a).
Push up the filter’s center tab slightly until it is released from the stopper, and remove the filters
downward.
2.
Cleaning the filter.
Use a vacuum cleaner to remove dust, or wash the filter with water. After washing, dry the filters completely in the shade.
3.
Attach the filters.
Attach the filters behind the stopper so that the “FRONT” indication is showing outward. Make sure
that the filters are completely behind the stopper. If the filter is not attached correctly, it may cause

defects.
4.
Close the front panel.
NOTE
Never use the air conditioner without the 3 in 1 filter.
Maintenance of the negative ion generator (twice a year) (only S1731 - S1735)

1.
Switch the machine off and remove the plug from the socket.
WARNING!
Make sure that the air conditioner is not operating.
2.
Open the horizontal louver carefully by hand.
3.
Pick up dust on/around the negative ion generator. Gently rub the tip of the
metal needle, in the negative ion generator, with a plastic (tooth-)brush. Do
not use a cotton swab or other fluffy object.
4.
Close carefully the horizontal louver. Plug in the power plug. The air conditioner can be used again.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
CAUTION!
In the event of a malfunction (burning smell, etc.) immediately stop operation, disconnect the
Power Supply plug and consult sales shop. Before requesting service, perform the following
checks:
The following problems do not always indicate a fault. Please check them before contacting the service
department:
Problem
Cause / Solution
The system does not start re-operation
immediately.
This is for protection of the system. After a stop, the sys-tem does
not start operation for approx. 3 min
Smells are generated.
This is because the system circulates smells from the interior air
such as the smell of cigarettes, cosmetics, the walls or furniture.
When cooling is started or heating is stopped, a swishing or a
gurling noise may be heard. This noise is generated while the
refrigerant is flowing in the air conditioner.
Occurring of noise.
When starting or stopping operation, a cracking noise may be
heard. This noise is generated by the casing expanding or
shrinking because of temperature changes.
A whooshing noise may be heard during operation of the system.
This noise is generated when the refrigerant changes direction.
Air does not flow (Indoor Unit). Air flow
speed can not be changed.
During the dry mode operation, air may not flow out, to prevent
excessive cooling.
During the heating operation, air does not flow out until the air
is heated enough to prevent cold air flow. During the thawing in
heating, air may not flow.
The cooling/heating function may not work effectively when the
air filter is clogged with dust and dirt.
Make sure the room temperature has not yet reached the
designated level.
Cooling/heating is not sufficient.
Make sure the air flow speed is not set at ”LO“.
Make sure the inlet or outlet of the outdoor unit is not blocked.
When the room temperature has not reached the required level
because of low ambient temperature, add other heating
facilities.
The indicator on the wireless remote
controller is dim.The indicator dims when
sending signals.Indication does not appear
on the wireless remote controller.
Make sure if the dry batteries have enough charge. Use dry R-03
(AAA) batteries. Replace worn dry batteries with a new pair
batteries.
Make sure the dry batteries are set in the right polarity
directions.
Misting (Indoor Unit)
It is caused by chilled air in cooling operation.
Steaming (Outdoor Unit)
It is caused by defrosting of outdoor unit in heating operation.
In case of an emergency while in operation, such as malfunction, stoppage or unoperative remote control
unit caused by lightning damage or automobile radio transmitter, please unplug and wait for three
minutes. Then plug in again and push ON/OFF button on the remote control unit.
Never try to repair or dismantle the air conditioner yourself. Incompetent repairs result in loss of warranty
and can endanger the user.

GUARANTEE CONDITIONS
The air conditioner is supplied with a 24-month guarantee, commencing on the date of purchase. All material and manufacturing defects will be repaired or replaced free of charge within this period. The following
rules apply:

We expressly refuse all further damage claims, including claims for collateral damage.
2.
Repairs to or replacement of components within the guarantee period will not result in an extension
of the guarantee.
3.
The guarantee is invalidated if any modifications have been made, non genuine parts are fitted or
repairs are carried out by third parties.
4.

Components subject to normal wear, such as the filter, are not covered by the guarantee.
The guarantee is valid only when you present the original, dated purchase invoice and if no modifications have been made.
6.
The guarantee is invalid for damage caused by neglect or by actions that deviate from those in this
instruction booklet.
7.
Transportation costs and the risks involved during the transportation of the air conditioner or air conditioner components shall always be for the account of the purchaser.
8.
Damage caused by not using suitable Zibro filters is not covered by the guarantee.
9.
Refrigerant loss and/or leakage because of incompetent (dis)connecting the units is not covered by the
guarantee conditions applicable to this product.
To prevent unnecessary expense, we recommend that you always first carefully consult the instructions for
use. Take the air conditioner to your dealer for repairs if these instructions do not provide a solution.

VEILIGHEIDSVOORSCHRIFTEN
De installatie moet volledig in overeenstemming zijn met de ter plaatse geldende voorschriften, bepalin-

gen en normen. Het apparaat is uitsluitend geschikt voor gebruik, op droge plaatsen, binnenshuis.
Controleer de netspanning. Dit apparaat is uitsluitend geschikt voor een geaard stopcontact, aansluitspanning 230 V./ 50 Hz.
BELANGRIJK
Het apparaat MOET altijd geaard worden aangesloten. Als de stroomvoorziening niet geaard is,
mag u het apparaat absoluut niet aansluiten. De stekker moet altijd makkelijk toegankelijk zijn

Haal altijd de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact als het niet wordt gebruikt.
Een beschadigd elektriciteitssnoer alleen laten vervangen door de leverancier of een bevoegd persoon/servicepunt.
De airconditioner nooit aan- of uitzetten met behulp van de stekker. Gebruik alleen de daarvoor
bestemde knop op de airconditioner of op de afstandsbediening.
Tijdens bedrijf de airconditioner niet openen. Na uitschakelen altijd eerst de stekker uit het stopcontact
halen voor u het apparaat opent.
Voor schoonmaken of onderhoud de stekker altijd uit het stopcontact halen.
Geen gaskachel, fornuis of oven in de luchtstroom van de airconditioner plaatsen.
De knoppen van de airconditioner niet met natte handen bedienen of aanraken.
De buitenunit produceert geluid. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de gebruiker om te controleren
of het geluidsniveau de plaatselijk geldende geluidsnormen niet overschrijdt en ervoor te zorgen dat
de apparatuur voldoet aan de plaatselijk geldende voorschriften.
Wij adviseren om uit de directe luchtstroom te blijven.
Het afvalwater van de airconditioner nooit als drinkwater gebruiken.
Het apparaat is niet geschikt voor het koelen van ruimtes waar voedsel opgeslagen ligt, temperatuurregeling in ruimtes met kunstwerken, kwekerijen en kan niet als precisie-instrument gebruikt worden.
Wanneer u een brandlucht ruikt, het apparaat meteen uitschakelen en contact opnemen met uw leverancier.
Nauwgezet controleren of de afvoerslang goed geïnstalleerd is.

Niet installeren op plaatsen waar:

• Gebruik het apparaat nooit met een beschadigd snoer of stekker. Klem
het snoer nooit af en voorkom contact met scherpe kanten.

Automatische herstelfunctie
Bij een stroomstoring tijdens bedrijf, wordt de bedrijfsmodus van dat moment automatisch opgeslagen. 3~4

(3~4 minuten wachttijd ter bescherming van de compressor).

ATTENTIE!
• Vanwege de automatische herstelfunctie zal de unit, nadat de stroom tijdens bedrijf
uitgeschakeld werd, automatisch weer opstarten (ook als dit niet gewenst is) als u de stekker
weer in het stopcontact steekt.
• Wanneer de unit voor langere tijd niet gebruikt zal worden, met de afstandsbediening de unit
uitschakelen en de stekker uit het stopcontact halen.

1. Gebruik van de afstandsbediening
Batterijen plaatsen / vervangen
Gebruik twee droge alkalibatterijen (AAA/LR03).
Geen oplaadbare batterijen gebruiken.
1.
Verwijder het batterijklepje aan de achterkant van de afstandsbediening
door het in de richting van de pijl (afgebeeld op het klepje) te schuiven.
2.

Plaats de nieuwe batterijen en controleer of de (+) en (-) pool in de juiste
richting liggen.
3.
Sluit het klepje door het terug te schuiven.
OPMERKING!
• Bij vervanging geen gebruikte, oude batterijen of batterijen van een ander type gebruiken. Dit
kan storingen in de afstandsbediening veroorzaken.
• Wanneer de afstandsbediening enkele weken niet gebruikt wordt, de batterijen verwijderen.
Dit voorkomt schade wanneer de batterijen zouden gaan lekken.
• Vervang de batterijen als de binnenunit geen signaal geeft, of als het transmissie
indicatielampje niet brandt.
• Gebruik nooit oude en nieuwe batterijen door elkaar, of verschillende types (bijvoorbeeld
alkali en mangaandioxide) tegelijkertijd.
Opbergen afstandsbediening en gebruikstips
De afstandsbediening kan in een aan de muur gemonteerde houder worden bewaard. Deze houder wordt
bij de unit geleverd.
Gebruik van de afstandsbediening
Richt de afstandsbediening op de signaalontvanger van de binnenunit van de airconditioner. Op deze
manier kan de airconditioner tot op een afstand van ongeveer 7 meter bediend worden.
2. Aanbrengen filters
Deze airconditioner is voorzien van een 3-laags filtersysteem om de circulerende lucht te zuiveren:
• Gaasfilter: verwijdert grotere stofdeeltjes.

• Enzymfilter: neutraliseert rondzwevende micro-organismen.
• Actief koolfilter: verwijdert onaangename luchtjes.

OPMERKING
Ook als de actuele tijd niet is ingesteld, kunt u alle functies, behalve de
“Timer operation” functie gebruiken.
Circulatiefunctie
Wanneer er andere verwarmingsbronnen worden gebruikt, trekt de warme lucht
naar boven in de ruimte. Door de “Circulation” functie te gebruiken wordt het
temperatuurverschil tussen de bovenste en onderste luchtlagen opgeheven. Uw
verwarming werkt hierdoor efficiënter.

OPMERKING!
• Wanneer de unit gedurende langere tijd koelt en droogt in een omgeving met een hoge
vochtigheidsgraad (ramen en deuren staan open) kunnen zich vochtdruppels op de binnenunit
vormen. Het lekkende water kan schade aan vloerbedekking of parket veroorzaken.
• Als de Drogen bedrijfsmodus ingesteld is op een lage temperatuur voelt de luchtstroom koud aan.
• In de Drogenbedrijfsmodus koelt het systeem tot de kamertemperatuur 1~2°C (1.8~3.6°F)
boven de ingestelde temperatuur is en schakelt met tussenpozen over op “LO” (lage)
ventilatorsnelheid, ongeacht de ingestelde snelheid.
• Tijdens “Drogen” slaat de binnenunit 3 minuten af als de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt is.
• Tijdens verwarmen kan de buitenunit bevriezen en de verwarmingscapaciteit teruglopen. De
unit stopt dan met verwarmen en schakelt automatisch over op ontdooien. Tijdens het
ontdooien werken de ventilatoren van de binnen- en buitenunit niet.
• Als de warmtewisselaar niet warm genoeg wordt, stopt de luchtcirculatie om te voorkomen
dat er koude lucht instroomt.
Automatische bedrijfsmodus
De airconditioner selecteert bij het starten de bedrijfsmodus automatisch (koelen, dogen, verwarmen) aan
de hand van de ingestelde kamertemperatuur.
•
De airconditioner start opnieuw in de vorige bedrijfsmodus als automatisch bedrijf binnen 3 uur na uitschakeling opnieuw begint.
•
Aanpassen bedrijfsmodus. De computer controleert en vergelijkt de kamertemperatuur regelmatig
nadat de compressor is uitgeschakeld en past de bedrijfsmodus aan.

Wanneer de lamel knop eenmaal wordt ingedrukt verandert de stand van de horizontale lamel (voor
bereik:zie tekening).
Vastzetten richting luchtstroom
Door weer op de lamel knop te drukken wordt de horizontale lamel vastgezet en wordt de stand opgeslagen. Als de unit opnieuw wordt ingeschakeld staat de lamel automatisch in dezelfde stand.
Verticale lamel aanpassen
Wijzig de stand van de verticale lamel door handmatig de afsteltabs te verschuiven. Als bij een hoge vochtigheidsgraad de verticale lamel tijdens bedrijf volledig naar rechts of links gericht is, kunnen zich vochtdruppels op de luchtuitlaat vormen.
Richting van de luchtstroom vastzetten:

Alleen bij het S1753 type: de horizontale lamel wordt vastgezet als de verticale lamel knop weer een keer
wordt ingedrukt.
OPMERKING!
• Als de unit uitgeschakeld wordt, sluit de horizontale lover de luchtuitlaat automatisch af.
• De horizontale lamel niet handmatig draaien, om beschadigingen te voorkomen de stand
alleen via de afstandsbediening veranderen. Als de lamel niet goed werkt, bedrijf stoppen en
opnieuw opstarten.
• Tijdens koelen of drogen mag de horizontale lamel niet te lang naar beneden gericht zijn.
Timer modus
Controleer de actuele tijd voor u de timer instelt. Als de timer ingesteld is, slaat de afstandsbediening de
instellingen op. De volgende keer kunt u dezelfde timermodus gebruiken door op de ON/ OFF knop en de
Timer instelknop (“ON/OFF Timer”) te drukken.
U kunt de gecombineerde functie “ON Timer” en “OFF Timer” gebruiken.
“ON Timer”

“SLEEP Timer”
Door deze knop in te drukken, start de timer modus die op de ingestelde tijd de unit uitschakelt.
De “SLEEP” knop tijdens bedrijf indrukken.
De ingestelde tijd herhaalt de volgende modus door de knop in te drukken:

Continu bedrijf (Slaapstand: OFF). De unit schakelt uit na de ingestelde tijd.
OPMERKING
• Wanneer u zowel de “OFF Timer” als “Sleep Timer” modus instelt,
gaat de laatste instelling voor de eerste.
• De “Sleep Timer” modus kan pas ingesteld worden, nadat de actuele
tijd is ingesteld.

Als de Sleep Timer actief is, stijgt de ingestelde temperatuur na 30 minuten met
0,6°C, na de volgende 30 minuten stijgt de temperatuur nog eens met 0,6°C.
Tijdens Verwarming
Als de Sleep Timer actief is, daalt de ingestelde temperatuur na 30 minuten met
0,6°C, na de volgende 30 minuten daalt de temperatuur nog eens met 0,6°C.
Noodstop en testfunctie

De noodstop functie wordt alleen gebruikt als de afstandsbediening niet functioneert.
•
Druk op de noodschakelaar, u hoort een piepgeluid en de noodstop functie is ingeschakeld.
•
De noodstop functie is vooraf ingesteld voor de volgende twee modi en alleen gebaseerd op de kamertemperatuur op het moment dat de bovengenoemde situatie zich voordoet.

Test functie
•
Gebruik de noodschakelaar.
•
De test bedrijfsmodus wordt alleen in uitzonderlijke gevallen gebruikt, bijvoorbeeld als u de koelfunctie moet testen en de kamertemperatuur is onder de 16°C.
•
Druk op de noodschakelaar, na de pieptoon de schakelaar ruim 5 seconden (niet langer dan 10 seconden) vasthouden tot u twee pieptonen hoort, de schakelaar loslaten, de test bedrijfsmodus is actief.
•
De Test bedrijfsmodus houdt de airconditioner in bedrijf in de “cooling” modus met de luchtstroomsnelheid op “Hi”, na 30 minuten stopt de testcyclus automatisch.
Uitschakelen Noodstop of Test functie
•
U kunt de functies uitschakelen met de afstandsbediening of handmatig door na de pieptoon de schakelaar weer in te drukken.
•
Wanneer u via de afstandsbediening afsluit, wordt de unit automatisch weer op de afstandsbediening
ingesteld.

Deze airconditioner is voorzien van een 3-laags filtersysteem om de circulerende lucht te zuiveren.

OPMERKING
Het 3-laags filtersysteem wordt geleverd in een plastic verpakking. Verwijder de verpakking en
plaats het filtersysteem. Dit systeem verwijdert ongezonde rondzwevende deeltjes uit de
circulerende lucht.
SCHOONMAKEN
Frontpaneel schoonmaken
1.
Schakel de unit uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
2.
Het voorpaneel in positie “a” houden en omhoog trekken.
3.
Reinigen met een zachte droge doek. Gebruik handwarm water (maximaal
30° C) om hardnekkig vuil te verwijderen.
4.
Gebruik geen agressieve schoonmaakmiddelen zoals wasbenzine, benzine,

Filter schoonmaken
Het filtersysteem moet regelmatig schoongemaakt worden (gemiddeld om de 2 weken)

Het apparaat uitschakelen en de stekker uit het stopcontact halen.

Het middelste treklipje van de filter omhoogtrekken tot het uit de klemrand is, daarna de filter
naar beneden schuiven en verwijderen.
2.
Filter schoonmaken.
Gebruik een stofzuiger om het stof te verwijderen of reinig de filter met water. De filter in te schaduw
leggen om te laten drogen.
3.
Filter terugplaatsen.
Plaats de filter tussen de klemrand, met het woord “FRONT” naar de voorkant. Zorg ervoor dat de fil-

ter helemaal tussen de klemrand vastzit. Als de filter niet goed vastzit, functioneert het systeem niet of
niet optimaal.
4.
Sluit het frontpaneel.
OPMERKING
De airconditioner nooit zonder de 3 in 1 filter gebruiken.

Schakel de unit uit en haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.
WAARSCHUWING!
Controleer of de unit is uitgeschakeld.

De horizontale lamel voorzichtig handmatig openen.
3.
Stofresten op en rond de generator wegnemen. De bovenkant van de metalen naald in de generator zachtjes schoonborstelen met een kunststof (tanden)borstel. Geen pluizige borstel of kwastje gebruiken.
4.
De horizontale lamel voorzichtig sluiten. Stekker weer in het stopcontact
steken en de airconditioner is klaar voor gebruik.

PROBLEMEN OPLOSSEN
WAARSCHUWING!
Bij storingen (brandlucht, etc.) het apparaat meteen uitschakelen. De stekker uit het stopcontact

Het systeem haalt luchtjes, zoals van sigaretten, parfums,
wandbekleding of meubels uit de circulerende lucht.
Als koelen wordt gestart of verwarming wordt gestopt, kan er
een suizend of gorgelend geluid te horen zijn, dat veroorzaakt
wordt door het koelmiddel dat in de airconditioner stroomt.
De airconditioner maakt lawaai.
Bij in- of uitschakelen kan er een krakend geluid te horen zijn.
Dit wordt veroorzaakt door het inkrimpen of uitzetten van de
behuizing als gevolg van temperatuurwisselingen.
Stromend geluid tijdens bedrijf. Is te horen als het koelmiddel
van stroomrichting verandert.
In bedrijf in de droogmodus stroomt er geen lucht uit de unit om
te voorkomen dat het teveel afkoelt.
Geen luchtstroom (Binnenunit).
Circulatiesnelheid kan niet veranderd
worden.
Om koude luchtstroom te voorkomen, stroomt er in de
verwarmingsmodus pas lucht uit de unit als de lucht voldoende
opgewarmd is. Tijdens ontdooien in de verwarmingsmodus kan
de circulatie (tijdelijk) stoppen.
De luchtfilter is verstopt door stof en vuil waardoor er
onvoldoende gekoeld of verwarmd kan worden.
Controleer of de ingestelde kamertemperatuur al bereikt is.
Onvoldoende koelen/verwarming.
Controleer of de circulatiesnelheid ingesteld is op ”LO“.
Controleer of de luchtinlaat of -uitlaat van de buitenunit niet
geblokkeerd is.
Als de gewenste kamertemperatuur niet bereikt wordt doordat
de omgevingstemperatuur te laag is, zorg dan voor extra
warmtebronnen.
Het indicatielampje van de
afstandsbediening is zwak. Het lampje
brandt zwak als er signalen worden
verzonden. Het lampje gaat niet branden.
Controleer of de droge batterijen voldoende opgeladen zijn.
Gebruik droge R-03 (AAA) batterijen. Vervang de zwakke
batterijen door een droog nieuw paar.
Controleer of de polen in de juist richting liggen.
De binnenunit beslaat.
Wordt veroorzaakt door koude lucht tijdens het koelen.
Stoom uit de buitenunit.
Wordt veroorzaakt door ontdooien van de buitenunit tijdens
verwarmen.
Wanneer er tijdens bedrijf storingen optreden, of als de airconditioning uitvalt, of de afstandsbediening
niet meer werkt als gevolg van bliksemschade of storing door een radiozender, de stekker uit het
stopcontact halen en drie minuten wachten. Daarna de stekker weer in het stopcontact steken en op de
ON/OFF knop van de afstandsbediening drukken.
Probeer nooit zelf de airconditioner te repareren of uit elkaar te halen. Slecht of foutief uitgevoerde
reparaties kunnen gevaar opleveren voor de gebruiker en kunnen betekenen dat de garantie vervalt.

GARANTIE VOORWAARDEN
U krijgt op de airconditioner 24 maanden garantie vanaf de aankoopdatum. Binnen deze periode worden
alle materiaal- en fabricagefouten kosteloos verholpen. Hierbij gelden de volgende regels:
1.
Alle verdere aanspreken op schadevergoeding, inclusief gevolgschade wijzen wij uitdrukkelijk af.
2.
Reparatie of vervanging van onderdelen binnen de garantietermijn leidt niet tot verlenging van de
garantie.
3.
De garantie geldt niet wanneer veranderingen zijn aangebracht, niet-originele onderdelen zijn gemonteerd of reparaties zijn verricht door derden.
4.
Onderdelen die aan normale slijtage onderhevig zijn, zoals de filter, vallen buiten de garantie.
5.
De garantie geldt uitsluitend als u de originele, gedateerde aankoopbon overlegt en als daarop geen
veranderingen zijn aangebracht.
6.
De garantie geldt niet bij schade ontstaan door handelingen die afwijken van die in de gebruiksaanwijzing of door verwaarlozing.
7.
De verzendkosten en het risico van het opsturen van de airconditioner of onderdelen daarvan, komen
altijd voor rekening van de koper.
8.
Schade, veroorzaakt door het niet gebruiken van de geschikte Zibro filters, valt buiten de garantie.
Om onnodige kosten te voorkomen, raden wij u aan eerst altijd zorgvuldig de gebruiksaanwijzing te
raadplegen. Wanneer deze geen uitkomst biedt, kunt u de airconditoner ter reparatie aanbieden bij uw
dealer.
