Powerpoint:

interactive presentation to revise the vocabulary or grammar structure they have learnt and
they learn new topics. Guided by their teacher, the students do some activities on the
computer by themselves.
Say Pen:
This is a special pen that reads the book to the students. The students listen to the story with
their own headphones when they press the pen on the book.
Quizzillion:
This is the magic ball that asks questions to the students. The students have remote controls
and they try to answer the questions correctly.
ACTIVITY HOURS:
Number Grabs
The students were put in groups and practiced colours and number sequences. Once in
groups, one student played as the representative of their team. Around the room the
teacher scattered colored squares with numbers on them. Each player was assigned a colour
and was to find all the color cards. The first student to find most cards correctly when the
music stopped won points for her/his team.
Monster Waltz
The students were divided into 3 groups. Each group danced around the chairs while the
music was playing. When the music stopped, the student sitting in the first chair picked out a
sentence from an envelope and drew it on a piece of a paper. The sentences were directions
on how to draw their monster. For example, “The monster has got a big red nose.” or “The
monster has got green curly hair.” In this way they practiced reading skills, body parts,
colours, and descriptions as well as drawing what they read and understood.
Dinnertime
The students, in groups of four, acted out the dialogue “Dinnertime” and revised the
vocabulary of food and drinks.
Creative Teaching Skills
The students were given the pieces of the house and furniture. The students cut out and
glued the furniture in the correct rooms and then made a house with those pictures. Then
they labeled the house and rooms.
DREAM HOUSE
The students prepared their dream house and presented their projects to their friends.

board and the other students from their group have five chances to guess the
answer. If they don’t guess in time then the other team has a chance to guess. This
activity is a chance to review and practice vocabulary they are learning.
Creating a new job:
The students drew the pictures of the special clothes of different jobs. They chose
two of them and combined together and created a new job. Then, the students
described their new job and gave a name to it.
Story Booklet Making Activity:
In March for activity lesson we made booklets. 3A and 3B read the book “There’s a
Monster in the Tree” during their skills lesson. The words to the story were a rhyming
poem that we turned into a song to the tune of “If Your Happy and You Know It”.
There’s a monster in the tree, in the tree.
There’s a monster in the tree, in the tree.
There’s a monster in the tree and he’s counting up to three.
There’s a monster in the tree, in the tree.
In the class booklets we made there was a monster in the house, in the hat and in
the box. With the words house hat and box the class found words that rhymed so
that they could finish the sentences and then draw the pictures. For example: hat
rhymes with bat, mat, cat, rat, sat, and fat. So the children chose a word and made a
sentence in present continuous, like: There’s a monster in the hat and he’s dancing
with a cat.
Letter Writing Activity:
In April, we read a book called “Emily Santos, Star of the Week” about a girl who was
chosen to be the special student of the week. Each day she shared things about
herself: her family, pets, interests etc. Then her classmates would write a letter to her
about the things she shared with them.
3A and 3B practiced writing letters together and then made an individual letter writing
project. They could write to a friend, a teacher, or a family member of their choice.
Then they read them out loud to the class as if they were the stars for the week!

gelir ve bir adet resimli kart seçer. Eğer karttaki resmin İngilizce karşılığını
söyleyebilirse, öğrenciden bu kelimenin resmini çizmesi istenir. Her grubun cevabı
bulabilmesi için sadece 5 tahmin şansı vardır. Eğer kelime tahmin edilemezse şans
diğer takıma geçer ve kelime bulunana kadar aktiviteye devam edilir. Bu aktivite
öğrencilerin öğrendikleri kelimeleri pekiştirmesi için yapılan etkin bir çalışmadır.
Yeni bir meslek yaratmak:
Öğrenciler değişik mesleklere ait giysileri çizdiler. Çizdikleri giysilerden 2 tanesini

listed below. The tense that we have just started using is the Present Perfect Tense. We are still
continuing SBS practice in our lessons and to put more emphasis we have started to attach SBS trial
tests to our homework as well. Students also have a package of SBS trial tests now that they can do
in their free time. Again, to support the difficult vocabulary, the native teacher does the activity
hours. Hence, learning becomes enjoyable for the students. At the end of the activity hour, the
students create a project of their own. The lessons are applied according to the new system of

Sayın Veli,
İşlemiş olduğumuz gramer konularını, kelimeleri ve aktivitelerimizi aşağıda görebilirsiniz. Şu an
