Energy Efficiency and Environmental Stewardship:
Petrol stations are places that have to illuminated 7x24 under specific lighting standards. Therefore, under canopy, outdoor
lighting and shop lighting applications consume significant amount of energy. As the result of fast improvement in LED
lighting technology, energy and energy distribution companies are rapidly replacing their conventional lighting systems with
energy efficient LED lighting fixtures. Increasing awareness and consciousness about the hazardous gases that the metal
halides and fluorescents contain, it potential risks during operation and the waste management issues are the main drivers
of rapid change.

Energy Savings
Illuminance Quality and Product Life:
Besides energy consumption, total life cycle cost and the light quality are critical factors as well. Metal halide and fluorescent
products that are being used in petrol station applications consume 150W-250W energy and have significant ballast loss.
While the product life of the metal halides is up to 20.000 hours, they lose significant light after 10.000 hours, which causes
product replacement needs. Furthermore, as metal halides are not able to direct the light, they also cause light pollution.

Remote Lighting Intelligent Network Control
Featured with Flat LowBay 75W or 125W
Lighting Science can now provide the standart Flat LowBay with R-Linc,
that can easily be integrated, and allow user at the gas stations to fully
exploit the advantages of LED lamps.
R-Linc provides power reduction (dimming), additional functionality
(alarm, global PIR) and smoother operation of LED lamps without the
need for extra cabling on-site. Additionally R-Linc will provide Lighting Sci
ence an absolute advantage compared to their competitors, and hence will
make it the favorable solution for projects.
Benefits
• Easy İnstallation: No need for extra cables when Flat LowBays are
used
in retrofit situations;
• Improved Customer Satisfaction: Lights will switch on simulatane
ously and smoothly swiching off individual lamps;
• Safety: During nightly hours, all lamps will switch on when proximity is
detected;
• Extra reduced energy cost: Lamps can switch to dim level at closing
hours. Also the hight level can be adjusted to reduced maximum.
