Sayın Veli,
Okulların açıldığı ilk günden bu yana
öğrencilerimizle İngilizce
derslerimizde çok şey öğrendik.
Kitabımızın ilk ünitesindeki sevimli
böceklerimizi, sayılarımızı, renkleri,
haftanın günlerini, oyuncaklarımızı,
sınıfta ve derslerimizde kullandığımız
eylem bildiren sözcük ve sözcük
gruplarını hem sözlü alıştırmalarla
(flashcard-role play- puppets- pair
work) hem de kitabımızda,
defterimizde ve sınıfta verilen alıştırma kâğıtlarında ( handouts) yazılı resimli alıştırmalarında
pekiştirdik. Konu anlatımı sonunda konunun son tekrarı olarak da öğrencilerimiz hazırlamış
oldukları proje ödevlerini sundular. Ayrıca ‘Monthly Theme Party’ dediğimiz aylık konu
temalı(numbers, colours, shapes) sınıf partimiz çok renkli ve eğlenceliydi. Verdiğimiz bültenlerle
de sizleri bilgilendirmeye devam edeceğiz.

Activity Hour / Aktivite Saati

We played a game called “Please, Mr. Crocodile” for our first activity lesson. This game reviews
colors and using “May I… ?”. In the activity, the students ask the ‘crocodile’ for permission to
cross the ‘river’. Each player is given a different color card. Then the crocodile gives permission
to the students who are holding a certain color card. The other students try to cross but may be
caught by the crocodile. The students say: “Please, Mr. Crocodile may I cross the river?” and the
crocodile says: “Yes, if you are _______ (color)!” If a student is caught they become the new
crocodile.

İlk aktivite dersimizde “Please, Mr. Crocodile” bir oyun oynadık. Bu oyunlar renkleri ve
“May I …?” rica kalıbını tekrar ettik. Bu aktivitede, öğrenciler timsahtan(crocodile) nehri geçmek
için izin istediler. Her öğrenciye farklı bir renk kartı verildi. Sonrasında da timsah belirtilen renk
kartını tutan öğrencilerin nehri geçmelerine izin verdi. Diğer öğrenciler timsah tarafından
yakalanmış oldular. Öğrenciler “Lütfen Bay Timsah, nehri geçebilir miyim?” diye sordular ve
timsah “Eğer …. rengiysen evet!” diyerek cevap verdi. Timsaha yakalanan öğrenci yeni timsah
olarak oyuna devam etti.
Storytelling /Hikaye Anlatımı

For the first Storytelling lesson we read On the First Day of School. This story revises animals,
classroom objects and numbers. I showed the cover of the big book and asked questions about
the picture. Then I read the story while asking questions about each page. The students were
asked to located the animals in the story and the number of things as well as recognize
classroom objects. At the end the students will be part of the role play of the story for the
following roles: Mr. Wiggly (a monkey), the girl, the father, 2 toucans, 3 hippos, 4 llamas, 5 seals
and the teacher.

İlk hikâye saatimizde Okulun İlk Günü adlı bir kitap okuduk. Bu hikâye ile hayvan isimlerini,
sınıftaki cisimleri ve sayıları tekrar ettik. Sonrasında hikâyeyi sorular sorarak ben okudum.
Öğrencilerden hikâyedeki hayvanların resimlerini göstermeleri, sınıfa ait objeleri belirtmeleri ve
cisimlerin sayılarını belirtmeleri istendi. Sonunda, “Mr. Wiggly (a monkey), the girl, the father, 2
toucans, 3 hippos, 4 llamas, 5 seals and the teacher” rolleri öğrencilere dağıtıldı ve hikaye
oyunlaştırıldı.

We Learned Songs/Şarkılar Öğrendik
 We learned “Hello” and “Goodbye” songs to sing
in the beginning and at the end of our lessons.
 Her dersin başına ve sonunda söylemek için
“Merhaba” ve “Hoşçakal” şarkılarını öğrendik.
We Learned Moods/ Duygu Durumlarını Öğrendik
 We learned different moods like “happy, sad,
angry, surprised, hungry etc.” We played games
to practice using these vocabulary items.
 “Mutlu, üzgün, kızgın, şaşkın ve aç” gibi farklı
duygu durumlarını öğrendik. Bu kelimelerin
kullanımlarını pekiştirmek için oyunlar oynadık.
We Learned Toy Names / Oyuncak İsimleri Öğrendik
 We drew toy pictures on the board and told our
friends their English meanings to review which
toys they know. We played games like “Hungry
Monster” and “Guess what?” to learn new toy
names. Toys we learned are “see-saw, slide, jump
rope, building blocks, legos, doll, teddy bear,
puzzle, toy train, bicycle, scooter, robot and car.”
 Hangi oyuncakları bildiğimizi gözden geçirmek için
tahtaya bildiğimiz oyuncakların resimlerini çizdik
ve arkadaşlarımıza İngilizce karşılıklarını söyledik.
“Aç Canavar” ve “Bil Bakalım Nedir Bu?” gibi
oyunlarla yeni oyuncak isimleri öğrendik.
Öğrendiğimiz oyuncaklar; “kırlangıç, kaydırak,
atlama ipi, oyun blokları, Lego, oyuncak bebek,
oyuncak ayı, yapboz, oyuncak tren, bisiklet,
scooter, robot ve araba.”
We Grouped Toys / Oyuncakları Gruplandırdık
 We grouped toys as indoor and outdoor toys. We
drew pictures on the board to group them. And
we did the same activity with a partner on a hand
out.
 Oyuncakları içeride oynadıklarımız ve dışarıda
oynadıklarımız olarak gruplandırdık. Bu
gruplandırmayı tahtaya resim çizerek de yaptık. Ve
aynı çalışmayı bir arkadaşımızla bir çalışma kâğıdı
üzerinde de yaptık.
We Did Different Activities to Review Our Previous
Learning /Önceki Öğrenmelerimizi Tekrar Etmek
İçin Farklı Aktiviteler Yaptık
 We did activities like matching numbers and
characters of our book, connecting numbers,
circling the correct mood, drawing faces on our
characters’ faces and presenting our works,
drawing toys on the board and .
 Sayıları ve kitabımızdaki karakterleri eşleştirmek,
ayıları birbiriyle eşleştirmek, doğru duygu
durumunu işaretlemek ve kitabımızın
karakterlerine yüzler çizmek ve bunları sınıfa
sunmak gibi aktiviteler yaptık.
