İBADETİN ÖNEMİ
Değerli Kardeşlerim! İlk insan ve ilk peygamber Hz.
Adem'den a.s. itibaren son peygamber Hz. Muhammed
Mustafa a.s.’a gelinceye kadar pek çok Peygamber
gönderilmiştir. Bu Peygamberler, Allah'ın mesajını
insanlara iletmişler ve Yüce Yaratıcıya sunulacak ibadet
ve kulluğun nasıl olması gerektiğini onlara bildirmişlerdir.
Aziz Müminler! İbadet; Yüce Allahın varlığını, birliğini ve
büyüklüğünü tasdik etmek, Ona teslimiyetle boyun
eğerek itaatte bulunmak demektir. Bu nedenle, insanın
yaratılış gayesi olan ibadet, insanın asli görevidir. Dünya
ve ahiret saadetimiz buna bağlıdır. Nitekim Yüce Allah
Kuran-ı Kerim’de “ Ben cinleri ve insanları ancak bana
ibadet etsinler diye yarattım.” 1 buyurmaktadır.
edelim; verilen nimetlere karşı en büyük şükür olan
ibadetlerimizi ihlas ile yerine getirelim. Yaptığımız her
işte Allah’ın rızasını gözetelim, haktan, adaletten,
doğruluk ve samimiyetten ayrılmayalım ki, her iki
dünyada
mutluluğu
tadalım.
İbadetlerimizin,
günahlarımızın bağışlanmasına vesile olduğunu da
unutmayalım.
Hutbemi Kuran-ı Kerim’den iki ayeti kerimenin türkçe
mealini vererek bitirmek istiyorum:
“...Rabbinin rızasını kazanarak Ona kavuşmak isteyen
kimse, iyi iş yapsın ve ibadet ederken hiçbir şeyi
Rabbine ortak koşmasın..” Kehf Suresi-110
“ Erkek olsun, kadın olsun, bir mü'min olarak kim salih
bir amelde bulunursa, hiç şüphesiz, Biz onu güzel bir
hayatla yaşatırız ve onların karşılığını, yaptıklarının en
güzeliyle muhakkak veririz.” Nahl Suresi,-97

Değerli Kardeşlerim! İbadetler, ancak samimiyetle ve
ihlasla yapıldığında makbul olur ve bizleri kötülüklerden
uzaklaştırır. Tarihte bir çok toplumun yok olmasına sebep
olan; şirk, isyan, kibir, hile, sahtekarlık, yalan, gıybet,
hased, iki yüzlülük ve samimiyetsizlik gibi kötü düşünce
ve davranışlardan uzak kalabiliriz. Nitekim Cenâb-ı Hak
Kuran-ı Kerim’de; “ Sana vahyedilen kitabı oku, namazı
da dosdoğru kıl. Çünkü namaz, hayasızlık ve
kötülüklerden alıkoyar. Allah'ı anmak, elbette
ibadetlerin en büyüğüdür. Allah, yaptıklarınızı bilir.” 2
buyurarak, ibadetin insanı; kötü ahlaktan ve arzu
edilmeyen durumlardan uzaklaştırdığını belirtmiştir.
Aziz Müminler! Allah c.c. katındaki değerimiz Ona
sunduğumuz kulluğumuzla yakından ilgilidir. Cenab-ı
Hakk’ın bize değer vermesi, bizi sevip bizden razı olması,
rahmetiyle birlikte feyiz ve bereketinin daha bu
dünyadeyken hayatımızın her safhasında tezahür etmesi,
Ona sunacağımız güzel kulluk sayesinde mümkün olabilir.
Zira bir ayeti kerimesinde Yüce Rabbimiz şöyle
buyurmaktadır: “ Rasûlüm! De ki: Kulluk ve yalvarmanız
olmasa, Rabbim size ne diye değer versin?” 3
Değerli Kardeşlerim! Yüce Yaratıcımıza karşı en başta
gelen sorumluluğumuz olan ibadet ve kulluğumuzu
yaparken, yaratılışımızın gayesine uygun olarak hareket

Dear Brothers! Since the arrival of the first person and
the first Prophet, Adam (as), until the last Prophet
Muhammad Mustafa (saw), many Prophets were sent in
between. These Prophets communicated the message of
Allah to the people and reported to them on how to
worship the Almighty Creator and how a person should
be like.
Dear Believers! Worship, means to confirm Almighty
Allah’s existance, oneness and greatness, and obediently
submitting to his will. Therefore, worship, being the
purpose of our creation, is the primary duty of people.
Our world and the hereafter depends on it. In Surat AdhDhariyah ayah 56 Allah Almighty commands: “And I did
not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.”
Dear Brothers! Worship, however, is acceptable when
done in an honest and sincere way and keeps us away
from evil. In history, many of the societies extinction
were caused by such actions like shirk, rebellion,
arrogance, deceit, fraud, lies, gossip, envy, hypocrisy and
insincerity. We need to stay away from these bad
thoughts and behaviours. In Surat Al-`Ankabut ayah 45
Allah Almighty commands: “Recite, [O Muhammad],
what has been revealed to you of the Book and
establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality
and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is
greater. And Allah knows that which you do.” As per this
quranic verse, worhsip is something that keeps us way
from bad morals and ethics, and undesirable behaviours.
Dear Believers! The value Allah c.c. places on us is closely
related to our offer of servitude to him. For Allah to give
us value, for him to love us and be content with us, to
earn his mercy and blessings in every phase of our live in
abundance, may be possible if we offer our utmost
servitude to him. In Surat Al-Furqan ayah 77 Allah
Almighty commands: Say, "What would my Lord care for
you if not for your supplication?"
Dear Brothers! When we undergo the foremost of our
responsibility towards our Creator, that being worship,
lets act in accordance with the purpose of our creation,
and bring in the essence of worship with sincerity. Lets
look upon everything we do for the sake of Allah. Lets
not avoid our rights, justice, truth and sincerity, in order
to taste happiness on both worlds. Lets not forget that
our worship is a means of forgiveness from sins.
I would like to conclude my sermon with the translation
of Surat Al-Kahf ayah 110 and Surat An-Nahl ayah 97.
“...So whoever would hope for the meeting with his
Lord - let him do righteous work and not associate in
the worship of his Lord anyone." Surat Al-Kahf ayah 111
“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or
female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him
to live a good life, and We will surely give them their
reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what
they used to do.” Surat An-Nahl ayah 97
