Dear parents,
On this page you will see the grammar subjects, vocabulary and the activities that
were covered so far. To support the learning process, the foreign teacher does
activity hours. So learning becomes enjoyable for the students. At the end of the
activity hour the students create a project of their own. The lessons are conducted in
accordance with the new system that contributes to thinking skills.

ACTIVITIES
Creative Thinking Abilities
Our students revised family members by creating incredible characters for
themselves.
Our students became their favourite cartoon character‟s assistant and planned the
character‟s daily routines. Then, they presented their projects to their friends.
Activity Hours
In November the students did a project based on an activity in their book. In the
book, “Five Children and It” they learned about countable and uncountable nouns. In
the activity they were given images and had to categorize them, label them, colour
them and write one sentence for an uncountable and a countable word.
In December our students finished the book “Five Children and It” and the last story
was about wishes. So they talked about kinds of wishes and made group wish
posters. They drew what they wished for and wrote a sentence like “I wish I had a...”
or “I wish for a...” At the end, the students shared their wishes with their friends.
Storytelling
Our students read a story called “I Wish I had a Monster”. This story reviewed
animals and the students learned some new descriptive words like hairy or scary.
They had to guess what kind of monster pet the boy wanted. As a group they
designed and described their own monster pet and then drew it on their own piece of
paper.
PowerPoint
Our students used a CD-ROM called World Wonders. It was about animals and
nature. They revised the grammar points and the vocabulary items that have been
learnt so far.
Reading Hour
From the beginning of the term, we have gone over 'character', 'setting', and 'main
idea'. We have completed various reading projects. Such as 'Character Analysis',
'Setting Analysis', 'Main Idea', 'Book in an Envelope', 'Give a Gift', 'Dear Diary' and
'Creative Map'. After some projects students also got a chance to present their
project to the class.

Bu sayfamızda işlemiş olduğumuz dilbilgisi konularını, kelimeleri ve aktivitelerimizi
göreceksiniz. Öğrenimi kalıcı ve zevkli bir hale getirmek için yabancı öğretmenimiz
çeşitli aktiviteler yapar. Aktivite saatinin sonunda öğrenciler bir proje üretirler. İngilizce
derslerinde öğretim Düşünme Becerileri Sistemine göre yapıldığından aşamalı ve
sistematik bir biçimde uygulama yapılır.

AKTİVİTELER
Düşünme Becerileri Sentez etkinliği
Öğrencilerimiz inanılmaz karakterler yaratarak oluşturdukları projeleri ile aile bireyleri
konusunu tekrar ettiler.
Öğrencilerimiz en sevdikleri çizgi film karakterinin asistanı olarak bu karakterin bir
gününü nasıl geçirebileceğini planladılar. Daha sonra hazırladıkları projelerini sınıf
arkadaşlarına sundular.
Aktivite Saatleri:
Öğrencilerimiz Kasım ayında okudukları kitaplarına ait bir proje hazırladılar. “Five
Children and It” isimli kitaplarında sayılabilen ve sayılamayan isimleri öğrendiler.
Verilen resimleri sınıflandırarak boyadılar ve sayılabilen ve sayılamayan isimler ile
ilgili cümleler kurdular.
Öğrencilerimiz “Five Children and It” isimli kitaplarını Aralık ayında bitirdiler. Kitabın
son hikâyesi dilekler ile ilgiliydi. Öğrencilerimiz dilek çeşitleri hakkında sohbet ettiler
ve bir poster hazırladılar; aktivitenin sonunda dileklerini arkadaşları ile paylaştılar.
Hikâye Anlatımı:
Öğrencilerimiz “I Wish I had a Monster” isimli bir hikâye okudular ve hikâyenin
sonunda karakterin nasıl bir canavar istediğini tahmin ederek çeşitli posterler
hazırladılar.
Bilgisayar Destekli Sunum:
Öğrencilerimiz World Wonders isimli bir CD-ROM aracılığı ile bugüne kadar
öğrendikleri gramer yapılarını ve kelimeleri çeşitli alıştırmalar yaparak tekrar ettiler.
Okuma Saatleri:
Dönemin başından bugüne kadar 'Character' (Karakter), 'Setting' (Hikayenin geçtiği
yer), ve 'Main Idea' (Ana Fikir) başlıklı konular ile ilgili çeşitli projeler yapılmıştır.
Örneğin 'Karakter Analizi', 'Zarfın İçinde Kitap', 'Hediye Vermek', 'Sevgili Günlüğüm',
ve 'Yaratıcı Öykü Haritası'. Öğrenciler bu projeleri tamamladıktan sonra sınıf
arkadaşlarına sundular.
